The delivery of green infrastructure in the Education Estate is key to creating an inclusive, resilient, and nature-based outdoor places for schools. The talk is designed around understanding the current barriers and opportunities to the delivery of green infrastructure on school sites, including a review of recent strategies and legislation initiatives: the Environment Act’s biodiversity net gain requirements and the DfE’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy.

The following synopsis provides an overview of subject matter and titles to be covered and discussed through further exploration on how the Landscape and External Environment can play a much more productive and efficient key role in the provision and creation of successful education establishments.

The objective of outcomes will be to provoke thought, discussion and actions to help deliver valuable landscapes, investment in the environment and also to influence key decision makers in opportunities for adding value and income to support delivery of Education Establishments at all levels.
