Developing Future Talent
Developing Future Talent
Dr Jenny Russell, Director of Education and Learning, Royal Institute of British Architects
Through their National Schools Programme, which has engaged with over 20,000 young people around the country since its inception, and RIBA Studio route to qualification and support of apprenticeships and other work-study models, the Royal Institute of British Architects is highly committed to developing and diversifying future talent for the architectural profession.
But what should future talent actually look like? The architectural profession is changing; The climate emergency, key matters of life and fire safety and the wellbeing of building users all point to core competencies which future architects must have.
RIBA Director of Education and Learning, Jenny Russell, will discuss how the architectural profession and the wider construction industry can work to encourage, support, build and ultimately benefit from, future talent.
