A year on from procurement discussions at Education Estates 2022, how is our industry progressing in procurement methodologies and aspects of the Gold Standard? How far have we come? What has been achieved - the learning so far and how can other sectors help advance us?

We will consider the recommendations of 'Constructing the gold standard', an Independent Review of Public Sector Construction Frameworks, and application to the Education Sector.

This panel discussion will include representatives from the Department from Education, Contractors, and views from other sectors.

As part of the discussions, we will look to discuss:

• The role of the Client and changing behaviours to achieve an alliancing model vs a more traditional model.
• The role of the Consultant - what these potential changes to the procurement strategy mean to our role - what are the perceived positives/ negatives for us?
• The role of the Contractor - how does collaboration across the two forms of procurement change their behaviours?
