The Future of Universities – a fundamental reimagining
Robert Wolstenholme, CEO, Trilogy Real Estate

Higher education is under pressure with an uncertain future. With looming demographic shifts, rising student debt, reduced government financing, and criticism over affordability and value, the sector is challenged. Universities and colleges must innovate to enhance academic outcomes, effectively integrate technology, and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.

A fundamental reimagining of higher education is needed, challenging traditional paradigms and perspectives on value proposition, diversity and inclusion, student experience, business models, and delivery channels.

Trilogy has been working with leading academics and thinkers around Higher Education in the US and the UK to conceptualise the university of the future. In this talk, Robert will outline the key challenges facing the sector and the key opportunities for its estates.

The future lies in new models that educate a more diverse population in a cost-effective and equitable manner to address pressing global challenges and strengthen communities worldwide. This talks examines those challenges and what they mean for Education estates.
