Proof of COVID Status

Proof of COVID Status

In order to ensure the safety of everyone, all attendees, exhibitors, suppliers, organising team and speakers to Education Estates® will be required to prove their COVID-19 status before entering the event.

There are a number of ways to prove your status:

  • Proof of full vaccination – 2 weeks after completing a full course of vaccination, whether that requires 2 doses or one dose (that is, 2 doses of the Moderna, AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccine, or 1 dose of the Janssen vaccine) (according to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency authorised schedule)
  • Evidence of a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or rapid lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of entry to Education Estates®. A lateral flow test taken at home will need to be reported into the public reporting system
  • Proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period

Exemptions:

If you have received a trial vaccine as part of a formally approved COVID-19 vaccine trial in the UK, you will be able to prove your status through the NHS COVID Pass or with a letter confirming your participation in the trial from your trial site. If you have a medical reason which means you cannot be vaccinated or tested, you may be asked to self-declare this medical exemption.

Resident in England

You can show your status easily via the NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App. For more information on how to do this, please CLICK HERE.

If you don’t have access to a smartphone or computer, then you can call 119 to request a letter to demonstrate your vaccination status or online here. Please note that the letter can take up to 5 working days to reach you. This letter will be sent to the address registered with your GP.

Downloading the NHS App can take up to 24hrs to validate, so make sure you do it early!

EU & International

All government regulations regarding travel and entry into the UK remain. As part of entry into the UK a PCR rest is required and proof of this will be sufficient. OR show a relevant international COVID vaccination certificate including:

  • an EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC) for Europe (paper certificate accepted, too)
  • a CDC card for the USA – you’ll also need to show proof of USA residency, such as your USA passport, visa or Green Card

Resident in Northern Ireland

Attendees from Northern Ireland will be required to provide evidence of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test, by reporting the result  HERE and presenting your NHS email or text notification at the entrance.

Testing

If you cannot access your NHS COVID Pass or if you do not receive a vaccination status letter in time you will need to provide evidence of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test, by reporting the result HERE and presenting your NHS email or text notification at the entrance.

You can order NHS Lateral Flow Tests HERE or pick them up from any pharmacy or test site.

A positive result from an NHS Lateral Flow Test means it’s likely you had coronavirus when the test was done. You must not attend Education Estates® and self-isolate immediately. You are then advised to get a PCR test to confirm your result as soon as possible.

If someone you live with has symptoms of COVID-19, or has tested positive for COVID-19, you will not need to self-isolate if any of the following apply:

  • you're fully vaccinated – this means 14 days have passed since your final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine given by the NHS
  • you're under 18 years, 6 months old
  • you're taking part or have taken part in a COVID-19 vaccine trial
  • you're not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons

If you are using an NHS Lateral Flow Test to demonstrate your COVID Status, this will remain valid for 48 hours from the time you took the test. You will then need to re-test on the expiry of the initial 48-hour period.
