How to build a net-zero biophilic primary school using MMC
Join TG Escapes Modular Eco-Buildings as they demonstrate how to create a new single-entry nursery and primary concept school. Constructed almost entirely from timber, utilising MMC to provide a low-cost, rapidly erected, high performance and durable solution, with low embodied carbon and net-zero in operation.
The design utilises pavilions connected by covered walkways around a terraced area with an outdoor class at its centre. This promotes interaction and connection with nature, outdoor learning, and fresh air in all weathers to maximise time outdoors.
The buildings are designed to biophilic principles and are airy, bright and joyful spaces with high ceilings, exposed timber and abundant glazing for natural ventilation and light.
