Join our conversation on the emerging DfE Design Code for schools and colleges

With Sam Powell (DfE Planning Team) and the Scott Brownrigg project team, Helen Taylor and Sarah Williams, who want your input into the work they are currently undertaking.

Design Code Guidance purpose: To help achieve a broad range of quality measures of well-designed schools and colleges in their settings, and to enhance the value of existing schools and colleges in place-making.

The Guidance will align with the aims of the National Planning Policy Framework including the National Model Design Code, which sets out the scale and characteristics of well- designed places to create healthy, environmentally responsive, sustainable and distinctive places with a consistent and high-quality standard of design.
