Question 1 - Tell us a bit about you as well as TG Escapes
Matt Gill, a Business Consultant at TG Escapes, has been involved right from the beginning since 2003. Although the construction industry was new to Matt at the time, he’s since been involved in a plethora of interesting and engaging projects. TG Escapes is an award winning architecture company who develop and deliver high quality, eco-friendly and sustainable buildings, and understand the importance of connecting their projects to nature.
Question 2 - What will you be showcasing on your Education Estates stand?
TG Escapes are looking forward to showcasing their progress over the last year throughout the pandemic. They will be sharing some of their recent projects demonstrating their sustainable approach to design and net-zero buildings in operation. In addition, TG Escapes will show how they use biophilic design and its positive impact in learning environments.
Question 3 - Tell us about recent education-based projects TG Escape's have been involved in
TG Escape’s first operationally net zero school building was delivered for Samuel Ryder Academy; a multi-classroom block consisting of 9 classrooms with spaces dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) classes for older students. This was a particularly exciting project, as it involved a collaborative process between TG Escapes, various partners and the academy itself. Recently, TG Escapes completed a multi-classroom block designed and delivered for Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy. This project set out to encourage 6th formers to continue their academic journey at the Girls’ Academy, providing an eco-friendly, unique design which would promote a sense of belonging and ownership. They were delighted to receive excellent feedback from their clients with both projects being completed within their schedules and on budget.
