Faithful+Gould successfully completes final survey on the Department for Education’s Further Education Condition Data Collection Programme

Faithful+Gould Stand: 531

Following our success on the schools Condition Data Collection (CDC) programme, along with the knowledge we acquired and lessons learnt, we were retained to survey a quarter of the FE estate. The detailed condition, contextual and building management data collected from the nine-month programme will enable the Department for Education (DfE) to understand the size, scale and current condition of the FE estate, which will in turn enable them to better prioritise funding allocation.

Chris Ball, regional director and Faithful+Gould lead on the programme said: “We were delighted to be retained to survey 2 million sqm of the FE estate, it’s a testament to the success of the schools programme and the DfE’s satisfaction in the work of our building surveying team.”

Commenting on our quality score on the programme, with our key performance indicators consistently ahead of DfE expectations, Terry Stocks, director and Faithful+Gould head of public sector and education said: “We continually strive to outperform our client expectations and add value through our delivered services. Our team has worked collaboratively with the client and other supply chain members to deliver an excellent outcome.”

Vince Jubb, communications and stakeholder management lead on the Condition Data Collection Programme said: “The data collected by Faithful+Gould and the three other surveying organisations...is vital to improve and update our understanding of the condition of the FE college estate. It will provide a sound evidence base to support future decision-making about FE capital funding.”

The second cycle of CDC surveys, for both schools and the FE sector is expected to begin in autumn 2020.
