Synopsis

In January 2018, Sheffield Hallam University endorsed its 25 year Campus Masterplan following 9 months of cross-discipline development work and a large amount of stakeholder engagement inside and outside of the University.  The Masterplan provides a development road map for guiding long term investment into the University Campus as it delivers on its ambition to be the worlds leading applied university.  The work has involved significant internal and external stakeholder engagement to develop a clear vision, set of principles and development plans to create a new campus in the heart of our city.  Sustainability and maintenance are embedded into the masterplan and we have developed an innovative and best practice approach to stakeholder engagement for all new projects which seeks to ensure there is a common understanding of key aims and ambitions in the early stages to ensure buildings are designed with end users in mind.  Our masterplan will provide a platform for transformation and we will talk about the approach we are taking for using the masterplan to review wider operational improvements across the organisation, together with the approach we have taken to develop the masterplan and ensure it is integrated into the ongoing business of the university.
