Synopsis

Over 85 SEN schools and AP have been completed under the Free School and PSBP Programmes. We have undertaken Post Occupancy Evaluations to complete the cycle of continual improvement as there is a shift in emphasis to evidence based design and whole life performance of buildings.

The main positive findings as well as the design challenges we face will be shared and will provide you with insights into the following aspects of SEN design:

  • Design for ASD, SEMH, PMLD, broad-range SEN and AP
  • Classrooms
  • Circulation
  • Support spaces
  • Standardisation
  • Externals
  • Building Fabric

Through sharing knowledge we can learn together how to better facilitate inclusive education. #SEN #BB104 #collaboration #MMC #POE
