Education Estates 2019

Synopsis

20th century buildings form part of nearly every university estate, or in some cases the vast majority of them. However, there is often reluctance to invest in regenerating these buildings to bring them up to today’s required standard. This is not always the case though and through careful planning, development and management these existing facilities can often be transformed into high performing assets that add real value to the campus without needing to completely rebuild.

In this talk we will discuss how regeneration projects can be approached to deliver life extensions on buildings previously deemed obsolete and without them breaking the bank.
