Andy Lowe is technical director for Bureau Veritas Building Control, with specific responsibility for major projects including plan assessment, liaison with the Fire Authorities and advising clients, architects and design team members. He has 35 years’ experience in Building Control and is one of the company’s most experienced surveyors in major projects.
Andy has worked in Building Control for the private sector over the last 20 years and has an in depth knowledge of the Building Regulations and associated legislation and has actively combined this with an appreciation of development economics and wider commercial influences to assist his clients in reaching viable commercial solutions. He has extensive experience of projects within the education sector.
A full member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, Andy also has a wealth of experience in complex fire strategies and is well recognised within the industry and with UK fire authorities for providing regulatory and legislative advice which has allowed the development of complex, engineered fire solutions.
