As the Special Educational Needs Client Adviser for Mace’s dedicated education design and technical advisory teams based out of their regional offices in London, Hertford, Winchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester, Mark works on SEND strategic vision implementation for local authorities, school capital programmes and post occupancy evaluations for the ESFA and MATs, as well as advising on individual projects. His experience is extensive and wide ranging in delivering new build, refurbishment and extension projects for a variety of school providers.
Review of SEN projects is undertaken nationally across different programmes of work and covering all SEN types ensuring consistency of approach, including the interpretation of the BB104 area standards. Mark’s understanding of the stakeholders involved enables him to consistently offer value for money solutions by ensuring the utilisation of the latest systems and construction methods and ensuring the delivery of quality products. Mark’s strength in depth of knowledge enables him to offer smarter solutions to property, schedule of accommodation, education delivery and construction technical and compliance challenges across the whole of the design and construction process.
Mark makes a significant positive contribution through combining a responsiveness to client and user needs with an in depth knowledge of policy & guidance documentation, reinforced by having undertaken Post Occupancy Evaluations of SEND schools across the UK.
