Aditi Saxena is Associate and Sustainability Lead at Bond Bryan, where she champions the integration of sustainability into every stage of the design process. With international experience spanning the UK and Europe, she has led award-winning projects across the education, science, residential and civic sectors, helping clients deliver high-performing buildings that balance environmental ambition with practical delivery. Aditi specialises in low-carbon design, adaptive reuse and circular economy principles, working closely with universities and public sector clients to unlock the value of existing estates through intelligent refurbishment and long-term thinking. Her approach combines evidence-based sustainability with commercial realism, enabling organisations to reduce embodied carbon, improve operational performance and create resilient environments that can adapt to changing needs. As Sustainability Lead, Aditi has been instrumental in embedding environmental thinking across Bond Bryan's projects and practice. In this session, she draws on the transformation of Riley Court at the University of Warwick to explore the opportunities and challenges of refurbishment, reuse and adaptation, sharing practical lessons on delivering low-carbon estate renewal while balancing cost, performance and future flexibility.
