Alex is an Associate at Hoare Lea and a mechanical engineer with experience leading complex multidisciplinary projects across existing, heritage and academic environments. He has worked on several University of Greenwich projects, including King William Court Computer Lab within the Grade I listed Old Royal Naval College, and Devonport House, a £49m refurbishment of a Grade II listed hotel into teaching space with associated new build. His work focuses on carefully unpicking historic building constraints, improving ventilation, cooling and student experience, and developing low-carbon servicing strategies that respect listed fabric. Alex is passionate about sustainability and decarbonisation, with experience in campus energy strategies, air source heat pump integration and future-ready learning environments.
