Alex is a Senior Ecologist at Mace and serves as the Biodiversity Technical Lead across the Department for Education’s TAS21 and TAS25 School Rebuilding Programmes, as well as providing ecological oversight on key Ministry of Justice programmes. He specialises in applying biodiversity policy, statutory BNG requirements and nature‑based design principles to complex public sector programmes, ensuring robust technical assurance and consistent delivery across large multi‑site estates. With experience spanning education, justice, residential, commercial and major infrastructure projects, Alex focuses on integrating ecological compliance, data-led decision-making and sustainable outcomes into every stage of project development.
