Antonia Khayatt
Antonia is an Associate at RAFT – Retrofit Action for Tomorrow. She is an Architect, specialising in improving existing buildings to make them more energy efficient and fit for the changing climate. She is also a qualified Passivhaus Designer and Retrofit Coordinator.
At RAFT, Antonia has led the practice’s work for councils, diocesan bodies and academy trusts to decarbonise their school estates and get all of their schools to zero carbon. She was also the lead author on a report for the Department for Education on the whole life carbon of retrofitting schools, compared with demolition and new build.
Prior to RAFT, Antonia worked on new-build schools at the architectural practice NHA, was a contributor to the LETI publication ‘Climate Emergency Retrofit Guilde’, and a consultant for the UK Green Building Council on the Build Upon project to monitor the multiple benefits of large-scale retrofit.
