Chris is an Architect and FE & Schools Regional Lead at IBI Group. Chris has over twenty years of industry experience, predominately specialising on education schemes, and has a particular interest in the design process. He currently leads the UK Design Excellence agenda at IBI Group.

Following the completion of the academic paper and acclaimed HEAD Study (Holistic Evidence And Design) carried out by Professor Peter Barrett, Chris has played a key role in developing the practical application of this research, culminating in the ‘Clever Classroom’ optimised design and the Schools Assessment Toolkit.

Chris has also developed IBI Group’s FE Estate Strategy Toolkit, which enables colleges to proactively assess, cost and plan improvements to campus condition, space utilisation and building performance over the medium to long term.
