David Evans is a Senior Design Manager for Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure working out of the Cardiff Office. He has worked on several projects in recent years that have been Net Zero Carbon in operation but working on Pen Y Dre is the first Net Zero Carbon refurbishment project. The project has been challenging the status quo throughout the design process from the time that the Local Authority took the admirable decision to pursue such an innovative job all the way through the various RIBA stages into construction. David has always been interested in the sustainability aspect of projects and has completed a number of BREEAM Outstanding and Excellent projects that have had their unique challenges but has enabled him to better educate himself on the construction industry and its impact on and from the environment.
