Gaia Laidler is a Chartered Engineer and Associate Structural Engineer at Simple Works, a structural and civil engineering consultancy based in Hackney, London. She leads technical delivery and project teams, and champions regenerative, low-carbon approaches to design. Gaia also leads projects for Scale Rule, a CIC which widens access to built environment careers for young people, and is a Director of GDFC, one of the UK's largest grassroots football clubs for women and non-binary people. Her contribution to this session draws on all three strands of her work: how regenerative and inclusive design methods can be put into practice to create spaces that work for everyone who uses them.
