Gavin Barley leads Hull Esteem, a local enterprise partnership (LEP) established to deliver the city’s Building Schools for the Future programme, which involved £400m of educational estate remodelling and rebuilding. Also covering the leisure sector, Hull Esteem will have delivered over £600m of work for the city by the end of its term.

Gavin comes from a construction background, with experience in multi-million pound construction, civil engineering and facilities management projects, predominantly within the education and health sectors.  Passionate about giving back to the community, he is also Vice Chair of the Humber Educational Trust, a multi-academy trust of primary and SEND schools within East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
