Simona is a Building Structures Director and leads the UK Higher Education sector at Ramboll. She has designed multiple buildings for university and commercial clients over the past 20+ years.

She believes collaborative design teams, smart digital tools and deep engagement with academics & estates teams are key to developing a robust technical brief and seamless integration of architecture & engineering design that is essential for high performance, highly sustainable buildings. As part of her role at Ramboll, Simona promotes research initiatives that explore NZC innovative design including the embodied carbon study that she presented at the Education Estates Conference last October.

Simona is also an honorary Professor of Sustainable Structural Design in Architecture at the University of Salford, awarded in recognition for her professional achievements and support to the University.
