Helen Bingham is Early Years Lead and Sustainability Lead for Aspire Academy Trust, supporting 37 primary schools and 22 nurseries across Cornwall. With over 20 years’ experience in Early Years education, she has progressed from classroom teacher to EYFS Lead, Head of School, and now Trust Lead, championing Early Years as the foundation block to lifelong learning.

She has worked extensively to create enabling environments where children feel secure, curious, and confident to explore – spaces that foster independence, nurture wellbeing, and encourage a love of learning.

In 2023, Helen was recognised nationally by Nursery World with the Outstanding Contribution Award, in celebration of her long-standing impact on the EYFS sector. As Aspire Sustainability Lead, she has introduced Energy Sparks, trained staff, and established Eco Councils, guiding schools to create Climate Action Plans and reduce their environmental impact.

Equally passionate about both early child development and climate education, Helen empowers schools, staff, and pupils to take lasting and meaningful action so that a healthy future may be secured for themselves, as well as for our planet.
