Jennifer Singer is an architect and education design advisor, leading the DfE design team’s programme advice across schools and colleges. Originally from Philadelphia, USA, her work includes the development of new standards in college projects, guidance on sustainable estates and design quality assurance across schools and capital programmes. 

Jennifer’s background is in design strategy and evaluation, stakeholder engagement and the use of research and evidence to create high quality, sustainable places for education. Jennifer is also a Trustee for a small Multi Academy Trust (MAT), enabling her to connect directly with the experiences of the learners and staff who use and manage the buildings and estates.
