John is a chartered quantity surveyor and programme delivery professional. At DfE he manages the delivery and assurance of several capital grants programmes focusing on school condition. These include the Condition Improvement Fund and Schools Based Nurseries.

John’s background is in construction project delivery in both the public and private sectors. He uses his experience to lead a team dedicated to helping our grant recipients to deliver best value and improve the condition of their education estates. As a former school governor, he knows the challenges faced by school leaders and applies that knowledge in leading his team.
