An award-winning furniture design, procurement and logistic expert Karen has worked in the education sector for the past 20 plus years. Her experience is extensive, she has worked on schools and colleges throughout the UK and further afield. Her focus is on what young people and teachers interact with during their school day, what they sit on, how they are arranged, how they learn and the group dynamics created by different settings. She has also looked extensively at the needs of high achievers and low achievers, in how they learn and develop differently to the 50% norm. She has a particular expertise in SEND spaces, high level education curriculum and specialisms as well as developing work skills for the employment market.. She has worked as designer and advisor over the years. She has also been looking at the sustainable approach to furniture design.
