Katie Goodwin
Katie Goodwin is the Group Assistant Principal for Student Support, Safeguarding and Inclusion at Trafford and Stockport College Group, where she leads strategic inclusion, safeguarding, wellbeing, and support services across the college group.
With over 20 years’ experience in education spanning primary, secondary, specialist, and further education settings, Katie has held senior leadership roles including Director of SEND, Assistant Head Teacher, Head of an Autism Resource Provision, and Inclusion Quality SENCO for Cheshire East. She is a nationally recognised keynote speaker specialising in SEND, autism, relational practice, and inclusion in education and the workplace.
Katie’s work has received national recognition, including being shortlisted for the nasen Changemaker of the Year Award 2025 and winning the National Alex Timpson ARC Post-16 Attachment Award. In 2026, she was shortlisted for the National SEND Awards' Outstanding Individual Contribution Award.
Passionate about creating inclusive systems that enable all learners to thrive, Katie is committed to ensuring that belonging, aspiration, independence, and preparation for adulthood are at the heart of educational practice.
