Luke Kennedy is the Deputy Director responsible for the delivery side of the School Rebuilding Programme and the final projects in the Priority School Building Programme. He has been a Civil Servant for over 27 years, mainly working in capital delivery. He previously led multi-disciplinary teams to deliver school buildings on the ‘Free Schools’ programme and was the Department’s lead for various projects within the ‘Building Schools for the Future’ programme. He has also worked in a number of other national policy and delivery roles, including around youth justice, school improvement and special educational needs and disabilities. Outside of work, he is a governor at a recently expanded primary school and likes getting a first-hand view from the frontline of education delivery.
