Mark currently works for Rotherham Council as Head of Transformation within Children’s Services. The position includes ensuring sufficiency of SEND provision in line with the increasing demand experienced both locally and nationally.

The SEND Transformation plan in Rotherham includes a programme of capital projects across both mainstream and special school sites to ensure the school estate and corporate assets are used to increase provision. This has included developing SEND resource provision on mainstream sites, improving accessibility for SEND pupils and identifying opportunities for refurbishment and re-modelling of existing special school provision.  

Mark has previous experience within the voluntary sector, with 20 years of working in children’s services, including face-to-face work as a sports coach, project management and business development roles.
