Martin Trentham
I am a Building Services Engineer with over 40 years relevant industry experience, working for Consultants, MEP Contractors and Main Contractors in sectors such as Education, Health, MOJ, Commercial, Leisure and Retail. In the Education sphere I have worked on a wide ranging variety of projects such as small classroom refurbishments for local authorities, a brand new $500m University, to more recently, DfE Pathfinder Projects such as St Mary’s, both here in the UK and overseas in the Middle East.
I have been in my current position with Tilbury Douglas Engineering for the past 12 years and my role is to provide central governance in respect of MEP design policies / activities / functions, with specific emphasise on Engagement with Design Consultants to establish specific project suitability / Appointments against defined duties / deliverables, including Designer Competency Evaluations and provision of Technical Support.
I have special interests in streamlining MEP design solutions, to aid installation, use of Digital Technologies, such as Robotic Setting Out Stations, incorporation of emerging SMART Technologies including metering / monitoring leading to Post Occupancy Evaluations. More recently my role has encompassed, sustainability and decarbonisation.
