Matt Carroll has been Principal of Rushbrook Primary Academy since 2019 and brings over 20 years of experience in teaching and school leadership. Since beginning his career in 2003, he has worked across diverse communities and progressed through a range of senior leadership roles before joining Bright Futures Educational Trust. Matt is passionate about creating an inclusive school community where every child aged 2-11 years can flourish academically, socially and physically. Under his leadership, Rushbrook has significantly expanded with a 40 place SEND unit and 25 place School Based Nursery. This commitment to inclusive, transformational practice contributed to Rushbrook receiving the Youth Sport Trust Transformational Achievement Award in 2026.
