Rob Gould is a Partner at Barker Associates, leading the firm’s education team. He works with schools, trusts, colleges and universities to help them make better long-term decisions about their estates, ensuring property strategy supports educational outcomes and organisational resilience.Rob specialises in strategic estates planning, capital funding and asset management, advising leadership teams on how to align estate priorities with funding constraints, sustainability goals and operational needs. His work includes supporting organisations to become bid-ready for capital funding, integrating decarbonisation into wider estate strategies, and using data to inform clear, evidence-based decision-making.A Chartered Building Surveyor, Rob brings experience across design, project management and contract administration, combining technical knowledge with strategic insight. He also serves as Chair of RICS Assessment of Professional Competence panels and as an External Examiner at Anglia Ruskin University.Rob regularly speaks and writes on estate leadership, funding strategy and long-term asset planning in education.
