Sam has 20 years experience delivering school building projects in the public sector,  initially at City of York Council and the last 10 years for DfE. Prior to that 10 years experience managing IT systems implementation projects in the private sector, gives her a breadth of experience which comes into bear in leading several multi-disciplinary project teams comprising internal advisors, external consultants, and supply chain partners, bringing together diverse skills and experience, to deliver a portfolio of Free School and FE College capital projects. with a total value of £150m.

She provides strategic leadership, support, and direction to her delivery teams, working closely with Project Managers, adapting leadership approach, and level of engagement in response to team dynamics, and individual strengths, diversities, and challenges, developing relationships and using this to build coherent teams that work inclusively and support each other to achieve common goals.
