Stacey Verhaak is a Chartered Architect with over a decade of experience in education buildings. She joined AtkinsRéalis in 2016 and specialises in education and community buildings. Stacey has led transformative projects like Prestley Wood Academy, a large SEND school in Alconbury, and Bedelands Secondary School, a Passivhaus School in Burgess Hill. Her work emphasises sustainability and inclusivity, meeting stringent Net Zero requirements and diverse educational needs. Stacey’s expertise spans all RIBA work stages, from concept to completion. She excels in managing complex briefs and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative and enriching learning environments. Stacey holds a BA in Architecture (Hons), a PG Dip in Architecture, an MSc in Sustainable Building Performance & Design, and a PG Dip in Professional Practice in Architecture. Stacey is committed to creating thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable architecture, aiming to foster enriching learning environments where students excel, and staff are encouraged to teach.
