Steve is a Principal Structural Engineer, chartered with the Institute of Structural Engineers. He has been with Ramboll for 7 years. Steve is passionate about delivering low embodied carbon structural designs, with a particular focus on embedding innovative new approaches to low carbon concrete throughout both the design and construction phases.He has led the sustainability approach for the structure of several large-scale developments; from embedding sustainable design philosophies in masterplan frameworks to delivering a 20,000tCO₂e structural upfront embodied carbon reduction on One North Quay (a personal career highlight).Steve also leads Ramboll UK’s Structural Technical Excellence Group, dedicated to maintaining industry-leading quality in our structural engineering designs. The group achieves this through company-wide sharing and reflection on lessons learned, along with specialised technical expert groups that research and develop best practice guidance tools.
