The Pears Maudsley Centre for Children is designed to provide care for some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, self-harm, trauma, and autism. Located in Camberwell’s conservation district, the sensitively designed scheme achieves 10,000sqm of accommodation with integrated landscaping at the heart of an inner-city hospital. Young people are our futures and ensuring their wellness is essential and the health systems that support them a crucial part of resilient and sustainable futures. The Pears Maudsley centre was conceived around the ethos that early interventions prevent long term sickness in young people with mental health challenges.
