Supporting existing campuses – how to update your infrastructure plans
Many UK Universities have ageing infrastructure supporting their buildings, but which can compromise development plans and the move towards zero carbon. Issues such as condition, capacity, lack of control and climate change resilience require a new approach to this key enabler for the challenges of the future. Our session will take the audience through how these issues have been affecting two key Universities and how we have unlocked opportunities and assisted them in planning key moves to improve capacity and resilience, reduce maintenance requirements, decarbonise heat, and adopt smart campus approaches to optimise operation.
